Danny Kibble : October 2010 IMPACT Award

IUPUI is proud to announce the first recipient of the IUPUI Impact Awards. This award is given out monthly to shine a spotlight on IUPUI staff who are doing tremendous work in the community.

Dan Kibble, who is the Director of Alumni Programs at Alumni Relations at IUPUI, impacts the community well outside of his role and duties here. He is highly dedicated to his profession, alma mater, and community. Danny has exemplified what it means to make an impact by lending his passions and talents to many wonderful community organizations.

Danny is a founding member of Giving Sum. Giving Sum was established based on a strong desire to engage people beyond cash contributions. Giving Sum exists to help educate and open doors for emerging leaders to take a larger role in philanthropy and civic engagement in the Greater Indianapolis area . Besides being a founding member, Danny has served as a committee member for events and for the silent auction.

Danny is also integrated into the sports world in Indianapolis, volunteering for Indiana Sports Corporation at the 2009 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament, 2008 USA Diving Olympic Trials, 2006 USA Track and Field National Championships and is currently a volunteer for the 2012 Super Bowl Committee.

As if that is not enough impact, Danny also is a true believer in giving back to his alma mater, Indiana University. He sits on the board of directors of the Lamda Chi Alpha Fraternity, and is chair governing alumni committee.

“Danny is a perfect example of a staff member that is committed to serving others. While working a very hectic job with long hours, he still spends a tremendous amount of time in volunteer service. He is someone that does not toot his own horn but deserves recognition.”
