Anatomy/Anatomy & Physiology (B&C)
One 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper that may contain information on both side in any form from any source and up to two non-programmable, non-graphing calculators

  •  1  1” X 4”  or 1" x 6" board 60 cm in length
  •  2  ¼” threaded rods
  • 18 ¼” nuts
  •  8  washers
  •  4 eye screws that will allow the 1/4" rod to pass through

  • pencil
  • 2  7/16” open end wrenches or adjustable wrenches
  • 1/4" dowel rod

Bridge Building (B/C)
Eye Protection #2. One bridge, a single structure designed and built by team. All parts of the bridge must be constructed of wood and bonded by adhesive. Event supervisor will provide assessment devices, testing apparatus, two apparatus, two bucket stabilization sticks, and clean, dry sand or similar dry, sang. Test Base must be stiff enough so it does not bend noticeably when loaded. Must have an opening at its center approximately 20 cm x 20 cm for bucket suspension. Parallel lines must be marked across the width of the surface of the Test Base in half must be marked on the Test Base; lines at 17.5 cm for Division B, or 22.5 cm for Division C, on each side of the centerline will indicate the Clear Span. The Bearing Zones are the test base surfaces wider than the Clear Span lines.
Test Support supplied by the Event Supervisor must meet the following requirements:

  • two identical support at least 3 cm x 3 cm x 15 cm
  • made of a material that does not noticeably compress when loaded
  • have smooth, hard surfaces (e.g. hardwood, metal, or high-pressure plastic laminate)

Loading Block:

  • a square block measuring 5 cm x 5 cm x approximately 2 cm high with a hole in the center of the 5 cm x 5 cm faces for a ¼ threaded eyebolt
  • 1/4 threaded eyebolt
  • a chain and S-hook that are suspended from the Loading Block Assembly
  • approximately five gallon plastic bucket with a handle to be suspended from the chain and hook

Cell Biology (C)

  • Eye Protection #4. Students need to bring and wear Z87 chemical splash goggles where needed and non-programmable calculators. Each team may bring 8.5"x11" sheet of paper that may contain information on both sides in any form from any source.
