Jam the Jaguars Pantry
One of IUPUI's proudest and most celebrated traditions, the Jam the Jaguars Pantry Food Drive helps fill pantries just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
This year we're pleased to announce that the food from Jam the Jaguars Pantry will be donated to our IUPUI food pantry. More information for our IUPUI Paw's Pantry can be found at http://pawspantry.iupui.edu/.
In order to continue our commitment to the community, Paw's Pantry will be donating one third of all donations from our drive to community organizations.
In past years, IUPUI has collected between 2-3 tons of food to fill out community partners' pantries and help their patrons have a happier holiday season. Thank you to all the staff, students and faculty that continue to make this an important tradition.
We successfully kicked off the drive Monday, October 6. Anyone interested in hosting a collection site or volunteer is still welcome to sign up! We will gather all donations at the IUPUI Barnes and Noble Bookstore in the Campus Center on Thursday, November 20 from 9 am - noon. As in the past, we will make arrangements for units or departments needing items picked up that morning.
November 16-22, 2014 is Homelessness & Hunger Awareness Week. More information is available at tiny.cc/handh.
IUPUI assists its neighbors in many different ways, and the campus comes together every year for this important food drive. If you have any questions on how to get involved please email Sara Griffin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
