Jam the Jaguars Pantry

One of IUPUI's proudest and most celebrated traditions, the Jam the Jaguars Pantry Food Drive helps more than 15 nonprofit organizations and churches fill up their pantries with plenty of food for their patrons, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Non-profits which IUPUI has partnered with over the years for this drive include, but are not limited to:

  • Wheeler Mission
  • Damien Center
  • Dayspring Center
  • Gleaners Food Bank
  • Christamore House
  • Hawthorne Center
  • Julian Center
  • Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center
  • Broadway United Methodist Church

IUPUI as a community partner collected over 3 TONS of food to fill these pantries to their limits and help those in our community have a happier holiday season. Thank you to all staff, students and faculty that joined in and gave with their heart.

Events:

  • National Homelessness and Hunger Awareness: Mid-November
  • Canned Food Collection Day: The Tuesday before Thanksgiving

IUPUI assists its neighbors in many different ways, and the campus comes together every year for this important food drive. If you have any questions on how to get involved please e-mail Maggie McGaughey at mmcfarli@iupui.edu
